A report from the NICE picket line in Manchester today from a member of GMKONP who was there to support the strikers.
‘ A very public, popular picket on Piccadilly Gardens, earlier today, joined by members of GM KONP. The UNISON members of NICE work in an office in the building behind-but they are part of a national UNISON branch, which voted, overwhelmingly to strike for decent pay and a properly funded, public, NHS.
As you can see from the photo, they were very happy to receive support from community groups and “the public”. As we said on the picket line, “Whose NHS? Our NHS!” ‘
