“Simon Stevens, is one of the architects of the devastating cuts now sweeping the NHS. The crazed plans to cut £billions from NHS jobs and services will be a disaster for patients and staff alike.
The further involvement of private healthcare companies, (possibly including Mr Stevens’ previous employer, the US multinational United Health), will take us further down the road to a privatised system, in which profits will be leached off to private companies, at the expense of the NHS.
Our lobby will be drawing attention to this impending catastrophe, demanding it be averted by NHS England scrapping the “Five Year Forward View”. To resolve the accumulated problems of underfunding and marketisation, we need the renationalisation of our NHS, along the lines of the NHS Bill
