Simon Stevens together with his managment consultant and government friends is one of the architects of the devastating cuts now sweeping the NHS. The crazed plans to cut £billions from NHS jobs and services will be a disaster for patients and staff alike.
The further involvement of private healthcare companies, possibly including Mr Stevens’ previous employer, the US multinational United Health, will take us further down the road to a privatised system in which even greater sums will be leeched off to the profits of private companies, at further expense to the NHS.

Our lobby will be drawing attention to this impending catastrophe, and demanding it be averted now by NHS England scrapping the Five Year Forward View. To resolve the accumulated problems of underfunding and marketisation, we need the renationalisation of our NHS, along the lines of the NHS Bill draft legislation which goes to parliament again on 4th November.
