Salford City Council has decided to remove £1.6m of public health funding

Salford City Council has decided to remove £1.6m of public health funding from the Salford Health Improvement Service, while it decides where best to allocate those resources.

The Health Improvement Service provides free community health focused groups across the city to the population of Salford enabling people to achieve healthier lifestyles.

As no decision has yet been taken on where the £1.6m should go, anyone who lives, works or studies in Salford can encourage Salford Council and elected members to reinvest the £1.6m in this essential service by signing this petition  http://epetitions.salford.gov.uk/HealthIm/
