NHS England has commissioned integrated Healthcare services for the following Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) Estates:
Lot 1 – Gatwick Estate – Brook House IRC, Tinsley House IRC and Cedars PDA Lot 2 – Heathrow Estate – Colnbrook IRC & Harmondsworth IRC Lot 3 – Bedfordshire Estate – Yarl’s Wood IRC Lot 4 – Manchester Estate – Pennine House IRC The tender followed the Supply2Health advert for this opportunity published in December 2013.
The healthcare services will include but not be limited to: Primary Care GP and Nursing services, Healthcare Administration, Mental Heath Services (primary care and where needed some secondary care), Sexual Health Services, Clinical Substance Misuse Services, Allied Healthcare Services (e.g. Chiropody/Podiatry, Physiotherapy etc), Optometry Services, Pharmaceutical Services, Dental Services, Clinical Waste management, Radiology Services (including radiographers, radiation protection advisor/s – where X-Rays are in place), Health Promotion, Continuity of Care The above list is not exhaustive and full details on the required services were outlined in the service specification as part of the contract documents for those Bidders invited to tender.
The contract will have a period of five years (60 months) followed by 2 x one year (12 month) optional extensions. Therefroe the meximum contract term if all available extension options are taken up is 7 years (84 months).
Contract values shown are for the full (extended) 7 year contract term and are exclusive of VAT.
The services in question for this contract are Part B Services under the PPR 2006.
