Don’t let them close mental health beds

54 mental health beds threatened with closure.

1700 mental health beds closed in England in last 2 years.

Royal College of Psychiatrists says service in bed crisis.

Only 27 extra community staff. Overall 50 staff less in total.

People will have to travel miles as units close.

More patients will be discharged from community care to GPs.

This is about saving £2.2million a year not patient-care.

Mental health – 23% of need, 13% of funding!
