Save Mental Health Services in Salford

Depressed? Anxious? Who wouldn’t be when faced with frozen wages, job losses, benefit cuts, rocketing energy prices etc.? But don’t expect any help from the NHS or Salford Council, if planned cuts go through.

Health bosses want to close a 23 bed ward at Salford’s Meadowbrook and another in Bolton. They want to shunt all the elderly patients together at Woodlands in Little Hulton.
This is after GMW Mental Health Trust have made 4% cuts in budget each year for the last three years, and still have £millions in reserves.
At the same time Salford Council want to sack the community care workers who help to keep people out of hospital!!!
Service users and trade unionists battled successfully for eighteen months to keep drop-in and group sessions and we won’t let this service simply disappear.
We can’t let the Trust or the Council get away with it. Come to the public meeting:
