KONP member Bernadette Hyland publishes a new book this
week; Northern ReSisters Conversations with Radical Women. The book
includes conversations with several women in the Gtr.Manchester area who
are active in the campaigns to save the NHS. This includes; Karen
Reissman, nurse and executive member of Unison who is leading the
SavetheBolton Health Services Campaign. Pia Feig, retired health worker
and activist in Gtr. Manchester KONP. In the second part of the book
Bernadette reflects on the new flow of older women into campaigning to
save the NHS including retired teacher Sue Richardson.
